ITECAM, Metal Cluster of Castilla-La Mancha, was stablished in 2002 as a non-profit business association with the purpose of increase the innovation and the business competitiveness in the metal sector industries, such as the ones dedicated to transformation, equipment processing and development, equipment and systems with metallic and related materials.
Through the last years its improvement and development has been outlined as a main industrial cluster all along the region. It has meant an increase in the associated companies both quantitative and in quality. Nowadays it involves a 5% of the regional GDP (Gross domestic product).
In addition, Itecam is recognized as an industrial cluster of the Regional Smart Specialization Strategy, within the European context of the RIS3 (Research and Innovation Smart Specialization Strategy).
